Service 03
Fiber & coax
splicing and testing
Fusion splicing, terminations and test. Every splice logged, every trace saved, every result handed back with the job so you are not taking our word for it.
The problem
What actually goes wrong
A bad splice does not fail on the day you make it. It fails eight months later, at 2am, and it takes a truck, a tech and a customer credit with it.
We splice to a documented loss budget and we prove it before we leave. If a trace does not pass, we redo the splice rather than write a note explaining the number.
What we splice and test
Fusion splicing
Single fiber and ribbon. Distribution, drop and restoration work, in cabinets, handholes, pedestals and aerial closures.
Terminations
Connectorized drops, pigtails, splice-on connectors and cassette work at the panel.
OTDR testing
Bi-directional traces where the spec calls for them. Events identified, files saved and delivered.
Coax splicing and testing
Legacy and hybrid plant. Connectors, taps, and sweep or signal-level verification.
What comes back with the job
- Splice log
- Location, fiber count, tray and position
- Loss results
- Per splice, against the budget you set
- OTDR files
- Native traces, not a screenshot of a number
- Photos
- Closure and tray condition before it goes back in the ground
- Redlines
- What we found that did not match the print
- Turnaround
- Results returned with the ticket, not a week later
